Meetups

Find luk khrueng near you

Always wanted luk khrueng friends but never met any? Same. Many of us grew up as the only one in class, sometimes the only one in town. Let’s fix that, one city at a time.

An illustrated young woman sits on her bed, a half-packed suitcase of Thai snacks and a jasmine garland beside her.

How it works

  1. Tell us your city

Email and city, nothing else. We never publish who has signed up.

  2. Around 15 people sign up nearby

That’s our rough starting point for a good first meetup. We’ll adjust it as we learn.

  3. A volunteer host plans it

Somewhere public and easy: a café, a restaurant, a park in summer. We email everyone on that city’s list.

Good questions

Do I need to speak Thai?
Not a word. Plenty of us understand more than we say, and some of us mostly don’t. Everyone is welcome exactly as they are.
Who is it for?
Adults (18+) who are Thai by family: luk khrueng, people raised abroad with a Thai parent, and anyone who has spent their life between the two.
Is it safe?
Meetups are always in public places with a host we’ve spoken to first. We never share the list with hosts or anyone else; we send the invitations ourselves.
Can I change my mind?
Of course. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your details at any time.
